# Valhalla Network Charter Marketplace

Valhalla Network is an original Toronto yacht charter marketplace for private harbour bookings, Toronto Islands cruises, birthdays, corporate events, Mississauga-area boat rental searches, and owner vessel registration. The public surface should help guests and owners understand the marketplace while staying honest about live supply, proof, and payment activation.

Valhalla is the verified flagship vessel. Partner yachts become approved public inventory after owners submit real photos, guest capacity, dock rules, captain availability, commercial insurance, safety equipment, route limits, cancellation policy, weather policy, deposit terms, and payout preferences.

Public owner-supply target pages define the first categories VYC is recruiting: Toronto event yachts, Port Credit cruisers, and premium small-group boats. These profiles are labeled as intake targets, not live bookable inventory, so they help owners understand the demand without pretending unapproved boats are available.

## Crawlable Honesty Standard

Public marketplace documents should distinguish among three different things:

- Verified live inventory: boats that VYC has approved for public charter requests, currently led by the Valhalla flagship.
- Owner-supply targets: boat categories VYC is actively recruiting, clearly labeled as intake targets and not live bookable supply.
- Private workflow records: owner submissions, guest trip boards, admin notes, uploaded documents, payment status, and review drafts that should stay token-gated or admin-gated until approved for public release.

Do not add fake reviews, fake ratings, fake partner inventory, invented booking volume, or implied public availability for boats that have not passed VYC review. Public reviews should come from completed or confirmed trip records, stay private during moderation, and publish only after admin approval without guest contact details or internal support notes.

## Owner Registration

The `list-your-yacht` route is the quick owner signup workflow. It creates an owner review record from a short first step and gives owners a private dashboard link path. Owners can then use the `owner-dashboard` route to reopen their profile, add boats, edit boat records, track approval status, and see missing listing-readiness items.

Owner intake and dashboard flows collect:

- Owner name, email, phone, and optional company
- Boat name, type, city/market, capacity, and rough hourly rate as the short required signup
- Optional length, dock, photo/gallery link, notes, year, minimum hours, captain status, insurance status, and payout preference
- Later dashboard details for safety gear, route limits, swim rules, blackout dates, add-ons, cancellation policy, weather policy, and approval documents
- Consent for VYC to review the vessel submission and contact the owner

The owner dashboard supports multiple owner boat records, pricing packages, route and dock details, blackout dates, rules, amenities, captain and insurance status, document/photo references, approval status, and readiness scoring. Admin approval publishes only approved boats as verified live supply.

## Mediated Guest-Owner Workflow

The guest flow is request-first. A guest shares date, time, charter length, guest count, occasion, route, food and drink plans, budget range, and weather flexibility. The concierge then routes the request to Valhalla first or to a vetted partner yacht when it is a better fit.

VYC mediates the owner conversation. Qualified requests can be dispatched to approved owner boats through the private owner inbox, where owners can mark available, unavailable, counter the rate, ask VYC a question, or add an owner note. VYC keeps guest contact details hidden from owners until the booking workflow calls for a controlled handoff, and VYC sends the guest the written offer, status updates, route details, captain confirmation, and payment instructions.

The marketplace itemizes yacht rate, captain fee, fuel, cleaning, gratuity, tax, payment schedule, deposit, remaining balance, and optional add-ons before checkout. Submitted requests receive private trip-board status: VYC message thread, owner offer, captain assignment, payment status, weather call, and boarding instructions. Payment instructions follow quote approval.

Private trip boards include VYC-mediated notes and guest review capture. Reviews are accepted only from private guest access tied to a confirmed booking, stay private until admin approval, and publish without guest email, phone, access tokens, or internal support details.

## Payment Activation Gate

Payment activation remains conservative. Live deposit checkout and owner payout workflows require:

- Restricted Stripe live key held server-side
- Stripe webhook signing secret installed and verified
- Connected owner account or approved payout path for the selected vessel
- Written-offer approval before a guest sees a deposit link
- Successful dry-run checkout, webhook, and payout-readiness smoke before live payment links are exposed

Until those requirements are met, the marketplace should say that payment instructions follow quote approval and should not imply instant checkout, held funds, automatic payouts, or live marketplace payment capture.

## Route Visibility

Core public pages include home, boats, Valhalla detail, owner supply target profiles, owner intake, pricing, safety, reviews, Toronto, Toronto Islands, Mississauga, bachelorette, birthday, corporate, renter FAQ, owner/captain FAQ, owner help, renter help, about, contact, terms, privacy, and cookies.

Private product routes include owner dashboard, booking confirmation, trip board, and admin queues. They support real onboarding and booking operations, but they should be noindex and absent from public sitemap discovery.

The public sitemap should include crawlable education, location, occasion, proof, pricing, safety, owner recruitment, and policy pages. It should exclude token-gated owner dashboards, guest trip boards, booking confirmations, and admin queues.
